Last week, the RGE team went a little quiet. Not because we gave up and moved to a cabin (tempting), but because we were busy hosting Unspam 2025 in Baltimore and having all sorts of riotous fun.

If you’re wondering, "what the crap is Unspam?" It’s our annual in-person 2-day gathering of the finest, weirdest, most delightful email nerds from all over the world. Running an event like this takes months of work, a suspicious amount of caffeine, and at least one existential crisis about choosing the right t-shirt colors.

But here's the thing: before anyone stepped into that ballroom, before a single microphone cord was awkwardly pulled through a shirt, or a single welcome bag was lovingly assembled... it all started with an email announcement.
