Verizon dials up AI to keep subscribers on the line

Verizon aims to curb rising customer churn by expanding its AI-driven initiatives to boost the customer experience, building on existing AI-powered support in stores and call centers. "We want to be people's first choice, providing products, services and experiences they can't get elsewhere," said Verizon Wireless CEO Hans Vestberg.

Consumers use fewer video services, study reveals

Consumers used only 9.9 video services on average in 2024's fourth quarter, compared to 11.1 the year before, TiVo discovered in a survey of Canadian and US adults. Monthly spending on entertainment fell almost $20 to $157.47, while daily video consumption dipped from 4.7 to 4.5 hours.
