After months of tense negotiations, the US has signed a deal with Ukraine, granting access to Kyiv's mineral wealth in return for continued support in the war against Russia. to ensure Ukraine's economic recovery. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says it shows both sides are committed to lasting peace and prosperity. The language used by the US in its announcement shows much more solidarity with Ukraine than has been usual under the Trump administration. Ukraine says the rebuild fund will "attract global investment into our country".
