When Dad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, the journey that he took was not alone. His God, family, and friends were with him the entire way. Chemotherapy could possibly put the stage four cancer into remission but we all knew it was ultimately incurable and the prognosis of six months to live could very well be the reality.
Watching Dad lose his hair and suffer was heartbreaking. But along with the pain and tears there was such beauty, so many miraculous gifts that we, his family and friends, were blessed with. As the months passed into years, we all knew how precious each day we had with him was. The memories and lessons learned are forever in my heart.
