Artificial intelligence–assisted coding firms are some of the hottest startups in Silicon Valley right now, drawing attention from OpenAI, among others. Amazon Web Services sees an opportunity.
AWS is working on its own AI-assisted coding service that offers features similar to those from startups Anysphere, which makes Cursor, and Windsurf, according to two people with direct knowledge of the matter. These include the ability to analyze developers’ code to understand their objectives in projects, and then use that to suggest relevant code additions, according to the people.
