To mark the first 100 days of the second Trump White House, FP Live’s executive producer, Dana Sherne, turned the tables on regular host Ravi Agrawal for a special ask-me-anything episode.
On the global stage, from foreign interventions to trade deficits, the Trump administration is led by “an America First agenda,” Ravi said. But, he added, “there’s a big difference between the articulation and execution of this that is worth discussing. It is worth asking whether the on-again, off-again tariffs, whether killing USAID and foreign aid in general, whether hurting relationships with some steadfast U.S. allies, actually helps U.S. objectives in the longer term or hurts them.”
So what’s next for the administration? As prices begin to rise from tariffs, “I think [Americans] will begin to question what it means to have a president who believes so strongly in the fact that … tariffs will fix everything. I think that will be a good test in the next 100 days,” Ravi said.
