on... Nike to Sell on Amazon for First Time Since 2019

I'm surprised only that it took Amazon so long to realize that Nike treats rampant fakes quite seriously, in some instances as much so as the likes of Louis Vuitton. There really were a rampant number of them on there before Nike pulled their products. Even eBay figured out fairly quickly that the only way for them to compete with the likes of StockX was to offer an authentication service: 99% of Nikes on there were fakes at one point.

But this seems like a win-win: Amazon gets the return of a high-profile name, and Nike (which has had a rough few years, to say the least) gets placement on the world's biggest e-commerce site, presumably of a premium sort. If the "middlemen" being cut out here weren't mostly scammers, I'd be a bit alarmed, but it's not at all unusual for a given retailer to have an exclusive, plus this might help Amazon's antitrust woes.

I don't think Perplexity will live up to their valuation given the level of competition, but I wish them the best.
