The new Liquid Glass interface got the most attention at Apple Inc.’s Worldwide Developers Conference this past week, but I was more intrigued by less-discussed changes to the iPad, Vision Pro and CarPlay.

To be sure, the new user interface is a giant upgrade — with Apple building on concepts it first explored with iOS 7 over a decade ago. Liquid Glass takes a more transparent approach to providing context, especially with the pop-over menus, folders, and the dock on iPadOS and iOS.
