Summer Stadium Construction
We are excited to announce that our stadium will be going through a major renovation. Outdoor restrooms and new stadium lights will be installed over the summer. Due to these two projects, the stadium (including the track) will be closed from June 16th- July 16th. We will keep the community updated throughout the summer in case the project finishes sooner or later than expected.
Fall Sports Tryouts
Fall Sports tryouts start on August 4th, unless otherwise noted. Below are the times for the first day of tryouts. Please make sure that all paperwork is completed prior to tryouts. We ask that you bring in physicals to the activities office and do not email them. New Physical Process
Legislation introduced in the Virginia General Assembly and recently signed into law will result in two significant changes to the athletic pre-participation examination (physical) requirements for FCPS student-athletes:
- Beginning July 1, 2025, athletic physicals will be considered valid for a period of 14 months from the date the form is signed by the medical provider completing the exam. This is the date on page 3 of the VHSL Athletic Participation/Parent Consent/Physical Examination Form (revised January 2021).
- Beginning May 1, 2025, FCPS student-athletes are EXPECTED to have athletic physicals completed on the new VHSL Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Evaluation Form (revised April 2025)
- The new form has been updated on the https://mcleanathletics.org/required-participation-forms/ website
All Season Sports McLean Athletic Boosters Passes
Gate prices are rising for adults, but Athletic Booster passes are staying the same. Avoid the long lines and elevate your game day experience by purchasing a McLean High School Booster Passes (mcleanboosters.org) Support our Highlander athletes and choose from multiple levels of membership that offer perks like all season home games and Highlander collectibles. Students are encouraged to pick up ordered passes from the Activities Office during the week with proof of purchase.
