President Donald Trump’s bid to lock down hallmark legislation has become a bit of a mess. Senate Republicans are rallying to get their Trump-led budget bill passed on the Hill, with several key pharma reforms hanging in the balance. But disagreements over cuts to federal health programs have halted the bill’s progress.
Some GOP lawmakers are uncomfortable with the bill’s cuts to Medicaid, which would result in 7.8 million Americans kicked off the insurance, while others want to chop off even more funding for the program. PBM reforms that Congress has been working on for years are also now in limbo with the bill.
