As we close out the end of an amazing school year, the Lemon Road staff and I would like to express our gratitude for your partnership and involvement this year. Even on the last week of school, families joined us for writing celebrations, end of year parties, and POG Presentations of Learning! Together, we supported the success of our student, and they demonstrated incredible growth academically and socially. Thank you for sharing your amazing children with us! We have enjoyed teaching and learning with them.
Each summer, Lemon Road staff put out a Summer Activity Board to keep all lions engaged over the summer when away from school. Copies went home in Wednesday folders, but additional copies in English and Spanish can be downloaded here. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade should return a completed activity board in August for an invitation to a welcome back celebration!
Parents can find activities to support reading and writing in FCPS’ Summer Learning Resources webpage. All of these activities are optional, but we encourage families to help their students practice reading and writing during summer break, so that they can start strong next school year. Other FCPS resources include the Summer Resource Guide, and Fairfax County Public Library Summer Reading Program
Tools/Platforms: Other language arts tools that are available include PebbleGo and MyOn. In addition, two Benchmark units are available - your child should login through Clever - Please ensure your child is using their account.
Math Platform available includes ST Math. Access directions here.
Additional Resources: Barnes and Noble Summer Reading
