Almost a year on from the murders of his wife Carol and two of his daughters, Louise and Hannah, John Hunt has told the BBC of the legacy of love they left behind. "From the moment I wake up, I say good morning to each of them," he says. "They're very close to me all the time." The family's life was "one of complete happiness", he remembers. But in July 2024, Kyle Clifford - an ex-partner of Louise - fatally stabbed Carol before killing Louise and Hannah with a crossbow. John and his other daughter Amy say they had no indication that he was capable of the triple murder. They are speaking out now as Amy says her mum and sisters "became a statistic" - and she wants to "breathe life" back into them "as fully-rounded people".

CIA director says Iran's nuclear sites 'severely damaged'
The head of the CIA, John Ratcliffe, says US strikes "severely damaged" Iran's nuclear sites, although he's stopped short of declaring that Tehran's nuclear programme has been eliminated. President Donald Trump has been angered by a leaked report that downplayed the impact of the strikes, which he insists "obliterated" Iranian facilities.

Research that would enable scientists to create the building blocks of human life from scratch has begun, in what's thought to be a world first. It's funded by the charity the Wellcome Trust, which believes it could accelerate treatments for incurable diseases. Until now, the research has been taboo over concerns it could lead to designer babies.
