This week, over 120 Youth Ambassadors from across Europe and Africa met in Brussels for the EU Power Summit. They engaged in meetings with dozens of influential policymakers to appeal for strong financing for external action in the EU’s ongoing budget planning for the next 7 years.

Their goal: foreground the messages of ONE’s EU budget petition and ensure that this critical stage of decision-making delivers sustainable development for people and planet. Help to strengthen their call to policymakers:

The category of Sub-Saharan Africa is currently expected to receive only 3% of the EU’s €2 trillion total budget. However, even this small portion is not guaranteed, as national pressures threaten to make cuts in development funding where it has the most potential impact.
