Highlights from October’s Canso Market Observer

Bad news seems to be out of vogue, as financial markets ignore negatives in their surge to ever more expensive levels. 

In their latest quarterly Market Observer, the team at Canso Investment Counsel Ltd. points out that the outlook is still unclear, and so their strategy is to step back from these hot markets, even at the risk of being left behind. 

Tough times lie ahead for Canada, however, which is in a particularly bad position as a small market now heavily dependent on exports to the U.S. after years of free trade. "We think that we Canadians are in for some very heavy economic weather ahead,” the Canso team warns.
