It's all treats, no tricks for our amazing WSES staff! We have a fun trick-or-treat event planned for October 31. Thanks to your generous support, only five items remain on our Amazon wishlist. Items purchased should be delivered to our Staff Appreciation Committee no later than October 28.
Contact Sara Grindler (sara.grindler@gmail.com) and Alicia Cullen (alicia.m.cullen@gmail.com) with any questions. Thank you for supporting WSES and our faBOOlous teachers and staff!
Make fulfilling your civic duty even sweeter with a delicious treat from our Election Day Bake Sale.
We need volunteers! Contribute how you can - bake something yummy, donate supplies, sell to hungry voters on Election Day, or just swing by to show your support. Mustang families, students, and alumni all welcome to join.
Please share the flyer below with friends & neighbors and encourage them to stop by on November 4, too!
Let’s celebrate the end of Q1 with delicious soups, sandwiches, and pastries at Panera Bread (AND support our PTA!). Join us Friday, November 7, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Panera will contribute 25% of our event’s sales to our West Springfield Elementary School PTA. Remember:
- Bring a paper copy of the event flyer or show the cashier a digital copy on your phone when ordering, OR
- Use code FUND4U when ordering on the Panera website or through the Panera App. You must order directly from Panera – no delivery apps! – or your order won’t count. We’ll see you there!
Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year's theme is "I Belong".
Please see the link below to view rules for each category and the official entry form:
Please review guidelines for the specific category your entry will fall under. Categories include various visual arts as well as dance, literature and music composition! Entries must meet the category criteria to advance in the competition.
Entries are due to the WSES PTA no later than 15 November 2025. Specific guidelines for submission of work will be posted in the PTA Newsletter in coming weeks.
Feel free to reach out to Meghan Lonergan, WSES Reflections Chair, if you have any questions. cunningham428@gmail.com or 202-309-3132.
You should have received an email from Kate Alany at notify@membershiptoolkit.com with a reminder to verify your family's information. Please check your spam folder if you do not see it.
The school directory is one of the many benefits provided by the WSES PTA and we are partnering with AtoZ Connect to organize the online directory. The online directory is a free service that provides access to class lists and contact information for students at our school. Parents and caregivers can use the directory to plan playdates, parties, or simply have access to classmates' information, which teachers are not allowed to share.
In order to have the most current contact information, we need you to verify your information. This is a secure verification process that takes less than five minutes. During the process, you can select publishing preferences for which information you would like shown in the directory.
Please follow these quick steps to verify your family’s data:
- Go to the WSES AtoZ Connect site
- Login (if you are a returning user), or register and login (if you are a new user)
- Once logged in you will be prompted to verify and update directory data for the 2025-2026 school year
If you have any issues completing the process, please reach out to Kate Alany, (katealany@me.com). Thank you for your help in creating our school directory!
A huge THANK YOU to those who joined the PTA this year. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we have met our initial goal to fully fund the membership portion of our budget!
It's not too late to join and continue supporting all of the wonderful events and efforts for our Mustang community. Your $30 membership dues ($10 for faculty/staff) will directly go to support field trips, free events for the school community and the needs of students and teachers in the classroom.
With changing budgets, our school needs our support more than ever. Click to join the PTA for the 2025-2026 School Year!
The Fine Print: Joining the PTA does not obligate you to volunteering for events, you can PTA Your Way and participate (or not) in the ways you feel comfortable! We appreciate your support.

A special addition, those who come on October 31st, Halloween, will be able to get a photo with their favorite cast members! Costumes are encouraged. Tickets can be purchased at lbtheatre.com.
