Good Afternoon Flint Hill Families,
It was a great week of learning at FHES with lots of activities occurring in our classrooms. Tomorrow we are excited to enjoy another year of Pumpkin Bingo! We are expecting a very large crowd for some outdoor fun. Please plan ahead for your parking and arrival. A limited amount of parking is available in the FHES parking lots. Volunteers for Pumpkin Bingo are still needed and you can sign up here.
The first grade teachers were also able to take learning walks to third grade classrooms to see instruction and strategies in action. By December, it is our goal to have all classroom teachers visit another grade level to see, think and learn from their colleagues. This is one way that we build consistency between our classrooms and grade levels at FHES. We have a strong instructional team and wonderful collaboration!
Did you know that you can see your student's artwork online? In art class, Ms. McAllister supports students to share their projects and creations on Artsonia. Through this program you can check in to see what your students are creating in art throughout the year. We have more than 10,000 student works on digital display!
Tonight is our next PTA meeting at 6:00 pm in the FHES library. We hope you will join us to learn more about ways you can support FHES. The first grade team and the technology teacher will join the meeting to share more about happenings in their classrooms and programs.
Tomorrow is the last day to place wrapping paper orders! Don't forget to check out the wrapping paper sale with Charleston Wrap. FHES will receive 40% of the proceeds from the sale. Wrapping paper and other items are available online from now until October 24th.

In October, orders placed with Charleston Wrap will benefit FHES. Proceeds from sales will fund student activities, programs and materials that improve the student experience for all students at FHES. FHES will receive 40% of the sales collected.
This is a great opportunity to buy holiday, birthday and celebration wrapping paper and other items to support our school.

Don’t miss our next PTA meeting on Thursday, October 23! Attend in person or join us via Zoom! We’ll hear exciting updates from Ms. Stout (technology teacher), the 1st grade team, and Principal Montaquila.
