Cherry Run News October 24

Dear Cherry Run Families,

It is hard to believe the first quarter of school is almost over! As we head into the last week of October, we have several exciting updates and reminders about upcoming school events and a construction project that is underway.

The PTA Annual Fall Festival is happening next week on Tuesday, October 28th, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM on the school grounds. We are looking forward to a great time for students and families!

We are excited to share that construction is officially underway for the installation of new solar panels on our school roof thanks to FCPS’ partnership with Dominion Energy. This project is a major step toward making our school more energy efficient. While much of the work is taking place on the roof and is separate from daily student activities, you may notice some construction materials and temporary fencing around the perimeter of the building and parking lot over the next few weeks. Please rest assured that our top priority remains student safety. All construction areas are clearly marked and fully secured. We are working closely with Dominion Energy and FCPS facilities to ensure that noise and disruption are minimized during school hours.

Thank you to all the families who volunteered, visited, and supported our Book Fair this past week. It was a tremendous success, and the funds raised will go directly to CRES. Wishing you a wonderful fall weekend ahead and we look forward to seeing our Cardinals on Monday!
