We are in a golden age of comfort |

Once upon a time, donning sweats in public was a hard thing to pull off. But those days are long gone. The right sweats are suitable attire for a city stroll, a casual lunch, a long-haul flight, and beyond.
The one caveat: Lousy sweats — with loose seams, pill-covered fabrics, and lumpy silhouettes — will still look sloppy. We bundled up in nearly 80 sets to find durable sweatsuits worthy of venturing out (and looking good) in. A few of our favorites? A French terry set with retro appeal and a drapey, cooling half-zip.
