Message from Mrs. Burke

Hello Edison Families,

What a week! Homecoming was such a success. The game, parade, and dance were all fantastic, and it was great to see so much school spirit. Edison really knows how to come together and celebrate as a community. A big thank you to Mr. Dight, Ms. Craft, our PTSA, and the leadership students for all their work supporting the events and making the week so special.

Tonight is our last home football game of the season, and it’s Senior Night for football, band, cheer, and flag football. We’re excited to recognize our seniors and all they’ve done for Edison. It’s also a Purple Out, so wear your purple and come cheer everyone on.

A few reminders for entry:

  • To be admitted, all students in grades 9 through 12 must show their school ID or StudentVUE on their phone.

  • Elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who stays for the entire game.

Last night, our choir, led by Mr. Butler, put on an awesome concert. The students sounded amazing and had the audience tapping along to every song. Our cheer team also competed at the district championship at Hayfield and took 4th place. They’ll head to regionals next week, along with our girls’ and boys’ track teams, who finished 2nd in the district. Congratulations to all of them.

Our DECA students also had an outstanding showing at their recent competition. You can read more about their results further down in the newsletter. Thank you to their sponsor, Ms. Rock, for all her support and guidance.

It’s been a great week to be an Eagle. Thanks for showing up, supporting our students, and keeping that Edison pride strong.

Have a great weekend!

Amanda Burke
