Because of You: A Strong Start to 2026 for FCPS Students

Dear Educate Fairfax Supporter:

As we welcome a new year we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to you.

Because of your generosity, our end-of-year campaign raised nearly $180,000 to support Fairfax County Public Schools students. Your donation ensures that learners across our community have the tools, support, and inspiration they need to succeed.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit education foundation, Educate Fairfax is committed to raising funds exclusively for FCPS students, educators, and schools. And as 2026 gets underway, we remain dedicated to strengthening classrooms, fueling innovation, and making sure every student has what they need to thrive.

We are excited for what lies ahead and deeply grateful to everyone who stood with us this year.

Thank you for believing in our mission and for investing in our students’ futures!

Here’s to a year filled with opportunity, impact, and continued partnership.

Learn more about Educate Fairfax and the impact of your support in our Annual Impact Report

We encourage you to follow us on social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter), where we share the stories of our grant recipients, along with other inspiring news about what's happening to improve educational outcomes across our school division.

Warm wishes,

Please Welcome our Newest Team Member

Please join us in welcoming Taylor Johnson, CFRE, as the newest member of the Educate Fairfax team!

Taylor began the new year as our Director of Development, but she is already a familiar face to many. Over the past year, she partnered with us through Purpose Possible, helping shape fundraising campaigns and connecting with community partners who believe in our mission. When she shared that she was ready to “put down roots” and invest her skills and passion in one place, we were thrilled that place was Educate Fairfax.

In the months ahead, you’ll hear more from Taylor about the continued impact of your generosity and ways to get involved in our work across the county.

She’s also eager to get to know you better and to build a strong community grounded in a shared commitment to our learners and educators.

Please help us welcome her to the team—and feel free to send a warm hello at taylor@educatefairfax.org.

Valentine's stories

Calling All FCPS Alumni!

Last February, we loved sharing your Fairfax County Public Schools love stories. This year, we are celebrating a different kind of love throughout the month of February: the friendships that began in our schools and grew into lifelong connections.

Maybe you met your best friend in homeroom, bonded over Friday night lights, tackled finals week together, or stayed close long after walking across the graduation stage. No matter how it started, those friendships helped shape who you are today.

We want to feature your stories.

Share your best friend, your friend group, or the people who made high school unforgettable.

To participate, simply fill out the form below

Don't forget to tell us your class year and attach pictures of you and your friend, past and present.

We’ll highlight these stories in a special series on our FCPS Alumni page and on social media throughout the month of February.

We can't wait to celebrate the friendships that began in FCPS and continue to make a difference today!
