Week 3, 12 January to 18 January 2026

National Syndromic Surveillance Summary:

During week 3, attendances for respiratory indicators, including acute respiratory infections (ARI), broadly shared a similar pattern of continued decreases across systems, but with increases in the rates for those aged 1-14 in line with seasonal expectations.    Influenza-like illness indicators continued to decrease but also had similar small increases in those aged 1-14.   ‘Impact of cold’ and ‘injury’ indicators decreased following the end of the amber cold-health alert.
