Use stories, songs and poses to practice techniques for breathing, moving and relaxing with your child at Martha Washington Library in Alexandria. Please bring a yoga mat or beach towel.
Preschool Storytime (10:30 - 11 a.m.)
Enjoy books, songs, rhymes and movement activities while building language and pre-literacy skills at Reston Regional Library. For children ages 3-5 with an adult.
Teen Craft and Chill (4 - 5 p.m.)
Teens can make crafts, eat snacks and have fun with their friends at Kings Park Library in Burke.

The Racial Desegregation and Integration of Fairfax County Public Schools: A Visual History (11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.)
Until the 1960s, Fairfax County Public Schools operated separate schools for white and African American students. Join us for a presentation at the Herndon Fortnightly Library to explore the challenges of this dual school system through archival photos, historical documents and interviews.

Garden Talk - Everything About Orchids (10:30 - 11:30 a.m.)
Learn about the different types of orchids, easy varieties to grow and how to use these plants at home at Green Spring Gardens Park in Alexandria. Registration is $12.

Come learn more about mandalas at City of Fairfax Regional Library. After a short informative session, enjoy a cup of herbal tea and choose from a selection of mandalas to color.
Mosaic Polar Plunge (11 a.m.)
Gather your friends and family, plunge into a chilly pool and feel the rush of supporting 23,000 Special Olympics Virginia athletes at Mosaic. Enjoy cool incentives and a costume contest.
Going Green Workshop - Sustainable Swaps (1 - 4 p.m.)
Join us at Riverbend Park in Great Falls to learn simple ways to minimize your environmental impact. Test your recycling knowledge with a sorting game, play bingo and make your own natural cleaning spray. Registration is $28.
Historic Radios on the Farm (4 - 5:30 p.m.)
Learn how radio technology advanced during World War I and II, and listen to famous moments in radio history at Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon. Join us for a tour through history by hearing and seeing antique radios. Registration is $12.
