Happy Friday! 

It has been another wonderful week in our Centreville nest! Our focus remains centered on strong literacy instruction for every student. Walking through the halls during our literacy blocks, it’s been inspiring to see explicit teaching, intentional guided practice, robust student discussions, and deep engagement in every classroom. We are incredibly proud of the academic growth our students are showing this year. Finally, we are also so proud of our strings musicians this week who performed at Thursday night's school board meeting under the direction of our fabulous strings teacher, Ms. Molly Henry!

With snow in the forecast, the excitement is building! We are hopeful for a beautiful snowfall. If we do get a storm, don't forget to send us your favorite photos of your family enjoying the snow!

Due to the approaching winter weather, student devices for Grades K–6 will be sent home today. If your child will not be using their device, please ensure it remains safely stored in their backpack, as families are responsible for any lost or damaged items. Since these devices are used daily for instruction, students are expected to bring them back when we return to school. Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Additionally, please do not forget about our Afternoon Tea with Administration. Please stop by the library to check in with the Principal and Assistant Principals on January 28th from 2:00-3:30PM (stop by any time during this window) in the CES library. We want to hear your feedback, answer questions, or just catch up on how the year is going for your family. Please remember this event takes place during the End of Quarter 2 Early Release. We can't wait to see you there!
