Dear Terraset Families,
Have you heard there’s some snow in our forecast?! As such, I wanted to share some information as we head into the weekend:
- Today, teachers will be sending home any books, projects, and reading materials that students can work on independently should we have snow days that impact next week.
- Students who take FCPS devices home daily will be reminded to bring those, as well as chargers, home with them today.
- As Dr. Reid stated in her message to families, we are not planning for remote learning, but we do want students to have access to web based resources and activities, should you be interested.
- In the event of snow days, there are ways that our families can support learning. Check out the FCPS Snow Day activities webpage, which has age-appropriate activities that you can do with your child/ren while they are away from school. Remember, learning happens all around us every day and snow days are meant to be fun!
- Be sure to visit our Weather Cancellations Procedures webpage for additional ways to get updates regarding school closures and delays. If FCPS needs to make any changes to the school day because of weather, we will share that information with you via email, text message, the FCPS Social Media pages, our FCPS App, and through local media outlets.
- Remember to wear your pajamas inside out, sleep with a spoon under your pillow, or do your snow dances, Tigers!
Stay safe and warm this weekend,
Katie Aldridge,
Principal
