Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! Please review the guidelines for our class parties.

  1. Decorations
  • Doors/classrooms can be decorated on February 12th after school.
  • Do not cover the door window. Do not use balloons.
  • Bags or Boxes for Valentines should be provided to students by February 11th.
  • Room parents may ask for donations (no more than $10 dollars per student) to buy the bags/boxes, snacks & items needed for the games. 
  1. Food
    • Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria at their normal time.
    • Snacks/Desserts can be provided during the party.
    • Please be aware of class allergies.
    • A suggested list of snacks will be provided to parents with allergy free items.

      3.  Party Parameters

    • Volunteers 2-4 parents per classroom. Party is limited to 1.5 hours.
    • Volunteers should make plans for siblings. We cannot accommodate preschool children.
    • The party must be organized for the whole grade level so all students have the same holiday experience.

Valentine's Day Volunteer Opportunity

 

Valentine’s Day grade-level parties will be held on Friday, February 13.  You will receive communication from your child’s classroom teacher with a sign-up link for parents interested in volunteering. Please note that classroom teachers will contact you directly if you have been selected as a volunteer.

FCPS will administer a division wide Student Experience Survey (February 23 - March 6, 2026) to understand how students in grades 3-12 view and experience school. The Student Experience Survey (SXS) includes general and adapted versions of the survey.
