Congratulations to the following athletes for earning AOTW for the week of Jan. 12th!

Ismail Ahmed - Indoor T&F
Ismail finished 1st in both heats of his 1600-meter race (4:58.85) and 3200-meter race (10:31.75) running personal bests in both his races at the prestigious VA Showcase.
In both races, Ismail ran the perfect race in a crowded field of 20+ runners, in which he methodically moved up and passed runners throughout the race, took the lead and never relinquished it, finishing first.
Ismail's performance makes him worthy of a nomination for athlete of the week.

Mia Troiano - Gymnastics
Mia is a 9th grader and always willing to go the extra mile. Recently, she was given the opportunity to challenger herself with a new event. She attempted the vault and killed it!
Well done Mia and keep pushing yourself.
