Police say on Oct. 5, 2025, officers responded after a large crowd gathered at the intersection of North Main and Oak streets. Investigators determined that the participants were blocking the road so drivers could perform stunts like donuts in the roadway. | |
The Boston Bruins bounced back in impressive fashion with a Game 2 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night at KeyBank Center to even their first-round playoff series 1-1. Just like in Game 1, the Sabres made a strong comeback in the third period. This time, they trimmed the Bruins’ lead from 4-0 to 4-2 with five minutes left in regulation. But the B’s didn’t let the momentum carry the Sabres any further. They tightened up defensively and goaltender Jeremy Swayman rose to the occasion with a bunch of important saves. |

Scattered showers today, beautiful weather on tap for tomorrow |
This is our coolest, dampest day of the week. Showers will pass through this morning, with a general gray overcast this afternoon. We’re not expecting a lot of water from this system. Just enough to keep the puddles around. And temps really don’t get up and get going at any point today. Mid and upper 40s should cover the range. Tomorrow is our warmest day of the week thanks to a northwest (not east) wind and plentiful sunshine. Highs will get to 60 in many spots. Unfortunately, this will also be the warmest we’ll see of the next several days. Cooler winds will come in both Friday — and both weekend days — to bring us back down to the low and mid-50s. For a little perspective, normal high temperatures these days are 59 in Boston and 58 in Worcester. |
