I wanted to share a brief update on PressHop®, an early-stage AI-powered media infrastructure and workflow platform we have been working closely with, which is currently raising a £2m Seed round under EIS.
PressHop® has evolved into a real-time operating system for modern newsrooms and field operations, connecting publishers, enterprises, and organisations with a global network of on-demand contributors (“Hoppers”) to source content, coordinate operations, broadcast tasks, and manage real-time workflows at scale.
The company is building what we believe could become foundational infrastructure for modern journalism and real-time field operations by combining:
- A real-time contributor marketplace and global tasking network connecting publishers and enterprises with on-demand contributors on the ground
- Enterprise workflow and coordination software enabling organisations to manage communication, tasking, verification, and field operations in real time
- AI-powered tools for verification, publishing, collaboration, and monetisation, supported by a growing SaaS subscription layer for publishers and enterprise clients
The platform enables organisations to source, verify, manage, distribute, and monetise real-time content and operational workflows directly through PressHop’s contributor network, materially reducing the cost, friction, and inefficiencies associated with traditional content sourcing and field coordination.
The business has continued to gain meaningful traction and recently won two awards at the National Technology Awards 2026 in London:
- Media, Entertainment & Publishing Technology of the Year
- Innovative Enterprise Product of the Year
Recent traction includes:
- 150,000+ active contributors (“Hoppers”) globally
- 600+ publishers onboarded across the UK, US, India and Nigeria
- Early SaaS adoption underway with publishers including The Sun, Reach PLC, Metro, Newsquest, National World and Indian Express
- Expansion from a transactional marketplace into recurring SaaS and enterprise workflow infrastructure
- Growing international rollout and publisher integrations across multiple regions
What we find particularly compelling is the company’s evolution from a pure marketplace model into a hybrid operating system, marketplace, and SaaS infrastructure business, creating:
- recurring revenue characteristics
- deeper enterprise integration and workflow dependency
- network effects between contributors and customers
- scalable long-term operating leverage
The company is now raising growth capital to accelerate international expansion, deepen enterprise functionality, scale its AI tooling, and expand adoption across both media and adjacent enterprise verticals.
