South Walter Reed Drive Progress

From June 17 to about July 3 (approximately two weeks), crews will be working to demolish and rebuild the east sidewalk in front of the 910 block of South Walter Reed Drive.

The driveway will be closed, but the rear parking lot will be accessible via the driveway at 2601 Columbia Pike (near the Burrito Bros. and former CVS).

About this Project

The South Walter Reed Drive Complete Street project is implementing improvements on South Walter Reed Drive between Columbia Pike and 5th Street South. Right now the project team is rebuilding the sidewalk on the east side of the road between 9th Street South and Columbia Pike, and is expected to switch to the west side in July or August.

Crews are also rebuilding the intersection of South Walter Reed Drive and 9th Street South, where they will add a brand new four-way signal.
