 It's hard to believe the school year ends today!
On behalf of the Hunters Woods PTA, thank you for supporting our students, teachers, staff, and school community throughout the year. Whether you volunteered your time, attended events, donated supplies, became a PTA member, or simply cheered on our students, your support helped make this a wonderful year.
As we look back, there is much to celebrate. We wrapped up the year with a successful 6th Grade Celebration, enjoyed a fun-filled Skate Night and movie nights, and were proud to support our staff throughout the year with appreciation events, including the Sweet Shoppe, Week of Joy, and other treats and recognitions. We also helped make Field Day a little cooler by providing popsicles for students to enjoy during the festivities and much more.
A special thank you to our PTA Board members, committee leaders, and volunteers. Their countless hours of planning, organizing, and behind-the-scenes work helped bring so many wonderful experiences to our students, families, and staff. We are incredibly grateful for their leadership, dedication, and willingness to step up throughout the year.
At our final PTA meeting, we learned about ways families can support their children's education and learning throughout the summer. Information was sent home in last week's Thursday Folder. We also encourage families to take advantage of the school library's summer hours, which will be open on select days and times throughout the break.
The fun doesn't stop when school ends! Keep an eye on future eNews editions for information about Popsicles on the Playground this summer. Dates and details will be announced soon. We hope you'll join us for a chance to reconnect with friends, meet new families, and enjoy some summer fun together.
We'll continue sending eNews periodically throughout the summer to share upcoming events, important school information, and PTA updates.
As a reminder, PTA membership is renewed annually beginning July 1. We'll send additional information later this summer about our new membership platform and how to join or renew for the upcoming school year.
If you've ever considered getting more involved with the PTA, next year is a great time to jump in. We have several committee leadership opportunities available:
Please don't let the word "chair" or "lead" intimidate you. Many of our volunteers start with no prior PTA experience, and no one is expected to do it alone. We work together as a team, share ideas, and support one another along the way. Whether you can help throughout the year or simply lend a hand when your schedule allows, every contribution makes a difference.
These events are only possible because parents step forward to help, and we'd love to welcome new faces and perspectives. If you'd like to learn more about any of these opportunities, please reach out to info@hwpta.org. We'd be happy to answer questions and help you find a role that's a good fit.

PTA Musical News
After a bumpy start, the HWES PTA Musical went off this year in stellar fashion! Thank you to all the kids, volunteers, families and staff that supported the journey to the stage!
The GOOD news is, that bumpy start has given us a leg up for next school year!
We have the team lined up and ready to go AND we are already perusing THREE shows with a decision at the start of the 26/27 school year! Which means…..AUDITION WORKSHOP and AUDITIONS will occur early in the school year. We will announce exact dates in August but we can be prepared to show off our stuff in late September, early October with rehearsals starting soon after!
Our goal is to give our kids more time to allow for other activities and to have the show during a more “quiet” time of the school year.

Claim Lost & Found Items
Please remember to check the Lost & Found before the end of the school year. Any remaining items will be collected for donation the day after the last day of school, so please encourage students to look for missing coats, sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other belongings as soon as possible.
Parents are also welcome to check the Lost & Found. Please check in at the school office.
