White Sox manager Will Venable knows what playing at Yankee Stadium means to a young team like his, a group that’s brimming in confidence and walking the walk.

“I mean, it’s the Yankees,” Venable said before Tuesday night’s series opener. “It’s as historic an organization as there is, and all the people who have worn that jersey, the history and what it means is awesome. It’s a great place to come and play baseball.”

It wasn't so great, however, for the Sox and ace pitcher Davis Martin, who conceded “things kind of unraveled pretty quickly” in Tuesday’s 12-2 loss.
