Wolf Pack,
As we end the school year, it's a chance to reflect on how much our students have grown this school year.
Oak Hill is defined by our core belief: "At Oak Hill, we all belong, have a voice, are resilient, and work as a team." These aren’t just words. Instead, they are the very heartbeat of our school, guiding every lesson, every interaction, and every success we’ve celebrated together.
To our incredible families, the parents, caregivers, and loved ones, I want to offer a personal thank you. Your partnership with us has been invaluable and we look forward to another amazing year.
To our amazing staff, you have been mentors, champions, and steady guides for our students through every twist and turn of the school year. You built a safe place where they felt the confidence to belong and the courage to speak up.
To our students, your kindness, intelligence, laughter, and resilience fill our days with great moments. Thank you for all you do to make Oak Hill not just a school, but a true Wolf Pack.
Have a safe and wonderful summer. Read lots of books. Play outside a ton. Make some good memories.
Know that the Wolf Pack is always here, howling along with you. We wish our 7th graders the best of luck in middle school. Keep making us proud!
See you in August!
Kelly Durso, Principal
Shelia Sobeski, Assistant Principal

Summer Learning Resources for Families
Instructional Services is supporting student learning over the summer. Digital and print resources are being curated on the Summer Learning Resources webpage for students and families to review and practice previously taught content throughout the summer months.
Resources are organized by grade level and aligned to the learning students experienced during the school year. Families can access the materials at any time to review concepts, practice skills, or explore new ideas at home. Additional resources will continue to be added throughout June.
Summer Meals for Students
Starting Monday, June 22, no-cost meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the sites and times listed on the FCPS Summer Food Service Program webpage. Students must remain on-site while eating their meals.
This year, thanks to generous support from Educate Fairfax, families may also receive one no-cost breakfast and lunch per adult at the following elementary schools: Braddock, Dogwood, Glen Forest, Hutchison, Hybla Valley, and London Towne.
Summer sites will continue to be added, so check the Summer Food webpage regularly for updates.
Early Release Wednesdays for 2026-27
FCPS will continue with limited early release Wednesdays for elementary schools during the 2026-27 school year. The number has been reduced from eight to four days.
Early release Wednesdays provide elementary teachers with a dedicated block of time to prepare lessons, participate in professional development and training, and collaborate with their peers. A well-supported and continuously improving teaching staff leads to better educational outcomes for students.
