Principal's Message

Langley families,

It's nice to see us beginning to turn the corner into spring. It's hard to believe we're already well into March with only a few weeks left in our third quarter. I'm excited and looking forward to all the upcoming events and activities over the next few months.

I know you're waiting for the weekly parking update. We've issued a large number of tickets again this week. This ongoing issue remains a daily challenge.

Students must have a parking pass to park at the school. Students who park without a permit and receive tickets will risk losing their parking privileges as Seniors.

Administrators have started following up with students and parents. If illegal parking continues after our discussions and notifications, I will begin towing vehicles from the parking lot.

Mr. Stroud

Ethics Day - March 12

What is Ethics Day? Ethics Day is an off-campus experience for seniors featuring interactive ethical dilemmas—where there’s no single “right” answer. It helps students build lifelong decision-making skills and is a fun way for parents to see how our seniors think.

This annual event wouldn’t be possible without parent and community volunteers. Sign up here to help!

Attendance Reporting

How to Report an Absence Through ParentVUE

We highly encourage all our families to use ParentVUE for full-day absences.  Reports submitted through Parent VUE are securely sent to the attendance office and do not require a follow-up email or call.

Partial-Day Absences (Late Arrival or Early Dismissal): For late arrivals, early dismissals, or to update a previously submitted attendance report, please email the Attendance Office LangleyHSAttendance@fcps.edu

Checking Out a Student Without a Note or a Sent Email to the Attendance Office: If your student does not have a written note, or the parent has not sent an email to the Attendance Office

  • A parent or guardian must come into the building and sign them out at the Attendance Office.
  • Provide a photo ID for verification.
  • Please allow up to 30 minutes for the checkout process if it is not prearranged.
