Crosstown Hoops Tickets On Sale This Week!

Crosstown Hoops is on Thursday April 9th at Madison High School at 6PM. Doors will open at 5:30.

Thoreau and Kilmer have a set number of tickets to sell.  Thoreau's general admission tickets will go on sale on THURSDAY MARCH 12th.

Please do not purchase any tickets from any link distributed by Kilmer.  Any Thoreau Community Members that purchase via Kilmer's link will have their tickets canceled.

Here's what you need to know:

  1. Thoreau tickets will be purchased via Cheddar Up through a special link distributed through the PTA and Thoreau Leadership. Exact times for the beginning of ticket sales will be published by Monday, March 9th.  These tickets are only for Thoreau Families and any non-Thoreau tickets will be voided.
  2. Registered members of the PTA received a unique link for limited advanced access on MONDAY 3/9 to the first 50 tickets available.  First come, first served.  Limited to 2 per Thoreau student. Once sold out, PTA members can purchase via the General Admission Sale.
  3. Player Families will receive a separate email and link for their purchase on TUESDAY 3/10.  Limited to 2 per player. PLAYERS DO NOT NEED TICKETS.
  4. General Admission tickets will go on sale on THURSDAY 3/12 via a link sent to the “enrolling parent” email on file at Thoreau.
  5. There will be a ticket limit per purchase. As this event is for students and sells out every year, we strongly recommend purchasing tickets for students only unless your child is playing in the game. Drop-off is highly encouraged.
  6. Tickets will be $5 (plus fees) each. When purchasing tickets, please be prepared to list the first name and last name of each person you are buying tickets for. We will use these names to check in individuals the day of the game along with the unique QR Codes that Cheddar Up will create for your tickets.  You may only purchase tickets for specifically identified individuals.  Tickets may not be transferred to others.
  7. Custom Spirit T-shirts will be available for sale until Wednesday March 18th.  Distribution will be at school in early April.  Players will receive a t-shirt in practice (they do not need to purchase one).

Calling all Volunteers!  Please sign up to support the event!  Thoreau is the HOME TEAM this year so we are responsible for all aspects of the event!  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0445ADAB2DA02-62801088-crosstown

Donate to Support Your Students!

We would appreciate a one-time donation of $50 per family, but are thrilled to receive any and all contributions. Donations are tax-deductible, and 100% of your contribution goes directly back to supporting our Thoreau Middle School students and staff.  Your donations will help the PTA support our community throughout the 2023-2024 school year.  Among other things, our Thoreau PTA:

  • Organizes appreciation events for our teachers and staff regularly, such as pies at Thanksgiving and cookies before Winter Break
  • Coordinates special events such as the 7th Grade Fall Social and 8th Grade End of Year Party
  • Grants financial support to teachers and staff for classroom or program needs
