Dear Beech Tree Families,
We have an exciting week coming up. We are getting ready for the Big Show on Saturday March 14th: that’s right it’s Beech Tree’s annual Fun Fair.
- We need cake: We are still almost 30 cakes short of the total we need for the cake walk--if you're able, please sign up to bring small cakes (8"x8" single layer in a disposable aluminum pan is perfect! Don't feel you have to buy a big fancy cake) or other sweet treats. There are also still volunteer opportunities if you have some time to spare.
- You need tickets: Buy your game and raffle tickets in advance because prices go up at the door! Not sure how many to buy of each? Games, activities, bracelets, and treats like popcorn and cake pops range in price from 2-6 tickets. We also have more than 35 raffle donations from businesses like Camp Hidden Meadows, the Wizards and Nationals, Merrifield Garden Center, Inner Loop Coffee Roasters, SW Golf Academy, Scramble Parkour, Baroody Camps, many restaurants, hair salons, gyms, and so much more! Plus, gifts of Beech Tree staff time like Principal for the Day, Babysitting, Pizza Parties, Crafts with Ms. A and Ms. Parse, and so many others.
On the big day, join us at the school from 10am to 2pm. There will be food! (including cake pops)! games! prizes! a moon bounce! Invite your friends, family, neighbors. Everyone is invited! Even frenemies. Maybe especially frenemies if you want to show off how awesome our school and community are.
I know you will be disappointed, but because of all the preparations, this month’s PTA meeting (previously scheduled for Thursday March 12) is cancelled. Looking forward to seeing you all at April’s meeting. And at the Fun Fair this weekend!
Also, do you like ice cream? Lol, just kidding I know you do. March’s restaurant night will be next Tuesday March 24th from 4pm to 8pm at Jake’s Ice Cream. Come enjoy delicious homemade ice cream (March’s flavors include CHEESECAKE BLACKBERRY FUDGE, MATCHA, OLIVE OIL CITRUS, and VANILLA SALTED CARAMEL RIBBON. YUMMMMM) made and sold by some of the friendliest folks in town. ALL SALES (besides gift cards) during that time window will be included in our 10% giveback--you don't even have to say you're from Beech Tree! So, take the baseball team, the Girl Scout troop, tell your neighbors it's ice cream night!
