Apple transitions to engineer-led innovation

Apple has announced that John Ternus, senior vice president of hardware engineering, will become CEO in September, succeeding Tim Cook, who will become executive chairman. Ternus, known for his engineering expertise, has been instrumental in developing products such as in-house silicon chips, the Apple Watch and AirPods. His leadership is expected to bring a renewed focus on product innovation, including AI integration and new devices.

Google has introduced a hotel price-tracking tool that enables travelers to set up email alerts for individual hotel properties. By searching for a specific hotel and activating the price-tracking toggle — available in both desktop and mobile browsers — users receive notifications when rates for their chosen dates change significantly. This update allows for more targeted price monitoring, similar to Google's existing flight price alerts, and aims to make it easier for travelers to secure the best deals on their preferred accommodations.
