Donald Frederick Burns, 92, of Carol Stream, IL passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, April 14, 2026 in Covenant Living at Windsor Park, Carol Stream, IL.
Don was born August 14, 1933 to Clara and Harold Burns in Chicago, IL. Don grew up on the north side of Chicago along with his younger brother Robert. Their father Harold passed away unexpectedly when Don was 17, just a week after he graduated from St. George HS. Don stayed in the Chicago area after high school, attending University of Chicago-Navy Pier, where he starred in baseball. Navy Pier was 25-1 Don's sophomore year and he was voted the team's MVP

James Michael Conway, 60, of Schaumburg, passed away April 16, 2026. He was born April 20, 1965, in Park Ridge, to James Henry Conway and Gail Marie Edgren. Jimmy was known for his joyful spirit and the genuine happiness he found in the everyday things. His smile was warm and contagious, and it had a way of making people feel seen. He loved watching the white truck, flipping through the Sears catalog, and of all things, vacuums. These simple things brought him real joy, and being around him reminded others to appreciate the little moments in life. His wonder and fascination for the everyday things caused others to slow down and be thankful for simplicity. Jimmy experienced the world in his own way, and because of that, he left a lasting impression on the people around him. He showed others what it looks like to be patient,
kind, and accepting. He had a quiet way of teaching us that every person has value and something meaningful to offer. He was deeply loved and cared for throughout his life by his devoted mother, Gail Edgren. Because of her, he knew unconditional love every single day. That love shaped who he was and how he connected with others. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Conway; and his sister, Theresa. He is survived by his mother, Gail Marie Edgren; his sister, Kathy Marie Conway; his stepmother, Carol Conway, and her children. Those who knew Jimmy will remember him for his smile, his joy, and the way he made people feel. His life mattered, and he will be remembered with love by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. Prayer Service will be Tuesday, April 21, at 10:30am before Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:30am at
