I really liked that book you recommended, by the way. I finally got around to reading it over the weekend, and I couldn’t put it down. The way the author describes the coastal town made me feel like I was actually there. I even looked up some of the places mentioned because I was so curious. I’ve already started the sequel, and it’s just as good if not better. Let me know if you’ve read anything else lately—I could use more suggestions. The pacing was perfect, not too slow but not rushed either. I stayed up way too late finishing it, but it was worth it. I also liked how the characters felt real, not like cardboard cutouts. The dialogue was natural, and the plot twists caught me off guard. I’m glad you told me to stick with it through the first few chapters because it really picks up. Anyway, thanks again for the tip. I’ll probably pass it along to my sister, she’s always looking for something new to read. I hope your week is going well so far. Let’s catch up soon.

I tried that recipe you sent me last week. It turned out pretty good, but I think I maybe overcooked the chicken a bit. The sauce was perfect though, and the whole family liked it. I added a little extra garlic because we love garlic, and I think it worked well. Next time I’ll probably use fresh herbs instead of dried to see if that makes a difference. My daughter helped me chop the vegetables, and she actually ate the bell peppers without complaining, so that was a win. I also made a side of roasted potatoes, just tossed them in olive oil and seasoning. They were crispy on the outside and soft inside. I’ll definitely keep that recipe in my rotation. I’m thinking of trying the other one you mentioned, the one with the creamy lemon sauce. Let me know if you’ve made that one yet. I also wanted to ask if you’ve seen that new hiking trail that opened near the lake. A friend told me it’s about four miles and pretty easy, great for a weekend morning. Maybe we could plan a hike sometime this month before the weather gets too hot. I’ve been wanting to get outside more. Hope you’re staying well.
