I saw your question about the garden project—I’d definitely go with raised beds if you have decent drainage. They warm up faster in spring and you can control the soil quality. I built mine last year using cedar planks and they've held up great. Just make sure you line the bottom with hardware cloth to keep voles out. If you want to start small, try a 4x4 square. You can grow tomatoes, peppers, and herbs easily. Let me know if you want me to send you the list of seed companies I use. Also, don't forget to rotate your crops each season to avoid soil fatigue.

I finally tried that new bouldering gym on the east side—great setting and the routes are varied. I’d suggest going on a weekday afternoon if you can because weekends get packed. They have a solid beginner area too if you’re just starting out. I’ve been climbing about three times a week and my grip strength has improved noticeably. Also, they do a membership punch card that saves you money if you go often. Let me know if you want to come along next time; I can get a day pass for guests.
