Medical Benefits Overview

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP), Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC), invites you to join an informative webinar covering program fundamentals and recent updates.

This session provides a valuable opportunity to hear directly from the DEEOIC Medical Benefits Branch.

The webinar will provide an overview of the medical benefits under the EEOICPA. The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session, allowing participants to engage directly with the presenter.

  • Provide an overview of accepted conditions and medical benefits available to claimants.​
  • Examine the provider selection process and out of pocket reimbursement.​
  • Discuss home health care requests, billing, and renewals.

About EEOICPA:
The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act provides lump‐sum compensation and medical benefits to current and former nuclear weapons workers whose illness is a result of working in the nuclear weapons industry. Survivors of qualified workers may also be entitled to benefits. Covered illnesses include radiation‐induced cancer, chronic beryllium disease, beryllium sensitivity, chronic silicosis, or any illness due to exposure to toxic substances.
