In order to remain on solid financial footing in these increasingly perilous times for journalism and democracy, The Intercept needs to raise another $130,000 by midnight tomorrow.

The Intercept has taken on a lot of powerful interests over the years, and we have the scars to show for it.

We’ve been sued by a billionaire who simply didn’t like our coverage. We’ve reported on war zones where the mere act of journalism is a life-threatening event.

In fact, right now, we’re in the midst of a major lawsuit with the Department of Homeland Security to force them to release any documents related to their secretive database of activists, including anti-ICE protesters and legal observers.

Despite all these fights, we’re still here, more than a decade since our founding, for one reason: the generous support of our readers.

But in order to remain on solid financial footing in these increasingly perilous times for journalism and democracy, we need to raise another $130,000 by midnight tomorrow.

And unfortunately, with that urgent deadline looming, we’re still significantly short of where we need to be.

So we’re asking you today: Will you donate to The Intercept and help meet this crucial goal? No donation is too large or too small.

Thank you,
The Intercept team
