yeah i completely understand what you mean about trying to find a good rhythm with your morning routine. i have been experimenting with waking up just a bit earlier so i can have some quiet time before the day really gets going. it has made a surprising difference honestly. even just twenty minutes of sitting with a cup of tea and not looking at a screen helps me feel more grounded. i also started keeping a small notebook by the window where i jot down a few things i am thinking about or want to remember. nothing structured just whatever comes to mind. the other day i wrote down a memory from years ago that i had not thought about in forever. it is funny how the mind holds onto certain details and lets others fade. anyway i have been thinking about what you said regarding trying to be more intentional with how i spend my evenings too. i used to just scroll through my phone until i fell asleep but now i am trying to read a few pages or listen to something calming instead. it is still a work in progress but i feel better about it. let me know if you come across any good recommendations for podcasts or short reads that are easy to wind down with. i would love to hear what has been working for you lately.

so i finally got around to watching that documentary you mentioned a few weeks ago and it was really good. i had been putting it off because i was not sure if i would be in the right mood for something heavy but it ended up being more uplifting than i expected. the cinematography was gorgeous and the stories they followed felt genuine not manufactured. i found myself thinking about it for days afterward which is always a sign that something stuck with me. there was one segment in particular about a small community working together on a restoration project that reminded me of the volunteer work we did back in college. it made me want to find something similar to get involved with around here. i have been looking into a few local groups that focus on trail maintenance and community gardens. nothing too serious just a few hours here and there. anyway if you have any other recommendations along those same lines let me know. i am also thinking of finally starting that book series you have been telling me about for like a year now. maybe this is the month i actually do it. hope you are doing well and that things have settled down a bit on your end.
