Welcome back to Inside Track!

France have shown lots of flair, firepower — courtesy of Kylian Mbappe — and grit so far at this World Cup, but the first proper test of their credentials is fast approaching.

My colleague Julien Pretot previews Thursday's quarter-final meeting with Morocco, a rematch of the 2022 World Cup semi-final in which France were the victors.

However, this time the North Africans arrive not as the surprise package but instead as a confident, unbeaten side set on winning the whole damn thing.
