Hi Henryk,
A student came to the Sage early one morning.
“Teacher,” he said, “yesterday was difficult, and I know today is a new day. But why does it still feel as though I am carrying yesterday with me?”
The Sage invited the student into a small room where a stick of incense had been burning.
He extinguished the incense, removed it from the room, and opened the door.
“Is the incense still here?” he asked.
“No,” the student replied.
“Then why can you still smell it?”
The student paused.
The Sage looked at him and said:
“The source may be gone, but its influence can remain. Many people enter today while still breathing in yesterday.”
A difficult conversation can end, yet continue within your thoughts.
A demanding season can pass, yet your body may remain tense.
A fear may no longer belong to your present circumstances, yet it can continue influencing your decisions, your relationships, and the way you see what is ahead.
This is why time alone does not always bring release.
Something can be over in your life without being complete within you.
This is one of the deeper purposes of meditation.
Meditation gives us the opportunity to recognize what is still lingering within—to see what belongs to this moment and what we have unknowingly carried into it.
It is not simply about becoming calm for a short period of time. It is about creating the internal conditions for what has remained within you to settle, release, and return to its proper place.
This Friday, I am hosting a free live meditation, and I would like to personally invite you to join me.
I will guide you into a deeper internal space where the mind can become clearer, the body can begin to release what it has been holding, and your awareness can return to the present.
Because you cannot fully receive what is here while a part of you is still living inside what has already passed.

Save Your Quiet Space...
You do not have to bring yesterday into another day simply because its influence has remained.
Sometimes, what has been lingering within us needs the right space to release.
With warmth,
Herman
P.S. I have received several requests asking whether I would offer
one-on-one healing meditations.
I am considering opening a limited number of spaces for this. If this is something you would be interested in, simply reply to this email and let me know.
Your responses will help me determine whether to make this available, and I will share more details if I move forward.
