Comprehensive Plan Amendment 2023-I-2J (Merrifield at Dunn Loring Station Apartments) Planning Commission Action and Recommendation

2023-I-2J – Merrifield at Dunn Loring Station Apartments: concerns approximately 35 acres generally located at 2741 Gallows Road, 2740 Hartland Road and 2706 and 2720 Pleasantdale Road; adjacent to the southwest quadrant of the Interstate 66 (I-66) and Interstate 495 Capital Beltway (I-495) interchange (Tax Map #49-2 ((1)) 39, 40, 48 and 53) in the Providence Supervisor District. The area is planned for mid-rise and high-rise residential use at 30-40 dwelling units per acre to include retail and service uses. The amendment will consider residential mixed-use redevelopment with up to 2,975 multifamily dwelling units and up to 25,000 square feet of retail use at an overall floor area ratio of 1.9. Recommendations relating to the transportation network may also be modified.
