Welcome to the Q3 edition of the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) Newsletter!

As SAP continues to accelerate innovation around Business AI and the Intelligent Suite, SAP ICC remains committed to helping partners bring trusted, high-quality solutions to market through certification and interoperability services.

This quarter, we're excited to introduce two new certification scenarios designed to support the next generation partner applications: the certification program for Partner-built Joule Agents and the intelligent extension applications built with Business Data Cloud. These new offerings enable partners to demonstrate technical quality, integration excellence, and alignment with SAP's AI and Data strategy.

We're also pleased to announce the go-live of our refreshed Certification Framework, providing a modernized, streamlined approach that makes it easier for partners to understand certification options, navigate requirements, and showcase their SAP-validated solutions.

In addition, this edition highlights recent partner success stories that demonstrate how organizations are leveraging SAP certification to differentiate their solutions, build customer trust, and accelerate business growth.

Finally, we're introducing a new Interoperability Review service, expanding our portfolio to help partners validate interoperability with SAP solutions earlier in their development journey and further improve customer confidence.

The refreshed SAP Integration Certification Framework is now available

After months of close collaboration with our partner ecosystem, the SAP Integration and Certification Center (ICC) is proud to announce that the refreshed SAP Integration Certification Framework is officially live now.

The refreshed framework helps to ensure our growing partner ecosystem is aligned – both technically and directionally – with SAP's clean core, cloud-forward, and AI-ready approach. The refreshed framework offers two clear paths for partners: integration certification (use-case based) and the new interoperability review (open and inclusive).

Certification Now Available for Partner-built Joule Agent

Excited to announce a new certification program designed for qualified partner-built AI agents created with Joule Studio. This initiative ensures that AI agents meet rigorous standards while empowering partners to build intelligent agents that extend SAP's capabilities.

To accelerate partner adoption of the SAP Business AI Platform, SAP ICC is offering a launch promotion that waives certification fees for qualified partner-built agents - available on a limited basis through the end of 2026.

Certify your SAP Business Data Cloud Intelligent App Extension

SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) delivers a comprehensive data architecture that brings together SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Data Products into a single, semantically rich platform — powering everything from operational reporting to autonomous AI agents.

For partners, BDC represents a significant opportunity. By building applications that extend BDC's capabilities to run on SAP Business AI Platform (Cloud Foundry, Kyma, or ABAP environment) and integrate natively with BDC components through supported APIs and connectivity methods, partners can deliver differentiated value directly within the customer's SAP data estate.

We are now launching a new certification program BDC-EXT for partner built BDC extensions.

Interoperability Review is now available

The Interoperability Review is a validation open to both SAP partners and non-partners (Independent Software Vendors or ISVs). Interoperability Review focuses primarily on technical feasibility within SAP guidelines, irrespective of the underlying use case or technical platform used.

The Interoperability Review confirms to customers that the product is technically compatible with SAP solutions while allowing flexibility in technology choices and integration approaches. Partner solutions are marked as "Interoperable with SAP Solutions" and documented in an SAP Note, available to SAP customers and partners.
