Barcelona has had enough
Fed up with overtourism, the city is trying to curb visitors.

Barcelona has changed since the stream of tourists visiting the Catalan capital became a flood: Places like the famed Boqueria market, where locals once shopped, and Las Ramblas boulevard, where city residents once strolled, are now so overrun that locals avoid them.

A busy market entrance with a colorful metal and stained-glass archway has the words La Boqueria included on the signage. Many people walk past market stalls and in and through the entrance.
