Authors and publishers are entitled to receive about $3,000 for each infringed work used to train the AI company’s large language models. more
Bloomsbury to Net About $21 Million from Anthropic LawsuitAccording to the company, 14,087 Bloomsbury titles were listed as part of the settlement, with each work entitled to receive about $3,000, generally split between the author and publisher. more
National Book Ban Bill Introduced in Senate Committee The equivalent of U.S. House Bill 7661, Senate Bill 4925 seeks to amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to prohibit funding for school books and other resources said to contain “sexually oriented material.” more
