Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins has raised more campaign funds than any other of the 17 candidates in Alaska’s governor race. The next three candidates who brought in the most fundraising are Republican Matt Heilala, Democrat Tom Begich and Republican Treg Taylor. Heilala's haul of nearly $1.6 million is mostly self-funded.

The encounter happened as Division of Elections Director Carol Beecher was leaving a hearing at the Legislative Information Office in Anchorage, where she answered questions from lawmakers about how the division designed the August primary ballot.
