Information Collection Request (ICR) for the Medicare Transaction Facilitator for 2028 under Sections 11001 and 11002 of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) – 60-Day Comment Period

The Information Collection Request (ICR) for the Medicare Transaction Facilitator (MTF) for 2028 under Sections 11001 and 11002 of the IRA (“MTF ICR for 2028”) is now available for viewing on the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) website (OMB control number 0938-1483). The purpose of the MTF ICR for 2028 is for CMS to collect information from manufacturers of drugs covered under Part D and/or payable under Part B that are selected for negotiation under the Inflation Reduction Act for the initial price applicability year 2028 and from dispensing entities and/or Part B providers that dispense the selected drugs to MFP-eligible individuals. The MTF ICR for 2028 is open for public comment for 60 days. Comments are due by September 22, 2026, and may be submitted through this comment submission link.
